MAPS and CHARTS

horizontal rule

Swedish airports

It has for a long time been quite difficult to get actual maps for the airports used for flight simming. Recently the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration has started a service where you from their site can download copies of the paper versions of Swedish airport maps in PDF format. The Aeronautical Information Publication, AIP are packed in one file for each airport and contain in most cases complete visual and instrument approach charts together with detailed ground maps. For the largest airports also SID and STAR charts are included.

Don't forget to look at the files in the AIP Amdt section too, there you will find the latest corrections and additions to the main files in the airport sections which are updated more seldom.

The link to this useful site is this:

Danish airports

The same service is available from the Danish Civil Aviation Administration  for all Danish airports (for example EKCH  Copenhagen-Kastrup) at the following address:  (Browse there to Part3 - Flyvepladser / AD2 / EKCH):

Hint for downloading of the map files:  Some plug-in versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader don't allow Saving of the downloaded file. If you experience that problem download the file instead by clicking with the RIGHT mouse button on the names of the PDF files at the sites above. Choose thereafter "SAVE TARGET AS"  (if you use Internet Explorer) and save the file as usual in a directory of your choice.

Norwegian airports

At the following URL you can download maps for all Norwegian airports but also for airports in other countries in Europe:
