Our future projects
Many users of our airport sceneries show a great interest in
our work and are writing to us frequently, wanting to know what our next
projects will be. Some are also giving us advice which airports they want to see
in coming packages. We appreciate these contacts very much of course. This type
of discussion may be of interest for a larger group and therefore we will here
give you some advance information about our coming projects and about what is
going on in our computers and at our drawing boards.

 | Revision of Pack #2
To make the Stockholm part in Pack #2 a better companion to the adjacent Arlanda area
in the new version of Pack #1, a revision is going on using the
same technique (as for the new Pack #1) for the underlying photo
scenery that covers a considerable part
of Stockholm City. This high definition photo will then be mesh
following (requires some add-on mesh version for best result) and will
also use the water from MS with all its accompanying features. Together with
the surrounding LandClass area a much better fit between those two will be
experienced. At the same time all the bridges in the old version will be
remade and perhaps some more will be included. If time permits a few more of
the high landmarks around Stockholm may also be added.
The main airport in this package - Stockholm/Bromma - will be totally remade
with new buildings with high definition photo textures (day and night) that
reflect the changes at the airport since the last version. Being a very
active and busy airport that grows continuously this is at the same time a
quite old one, inaugurated in 1936, with many historical buildings inside the
premises - a listed historical site and where two of the buildings are a National Building Heritage
since 2000. (The other airport in Sweden with the same status is
Gothenburg/Säve in Pack #4.)
The rest of the package will remain the same more or less. Maybe a LandClass
area will be added around Jönköping airport, an area that better
accommodates to the interesting landscape in the neighbourhood.
No delivery time is decided yet
for this new version but you can look at the progress of the project
HERE.

 | What about a Swedish VFR scenery?
We get continuously many requests for a VFR scenery over parts of Sweden or preferably the whole country. Technically there is no problem today to make
such a scenery - more than it will be terribly large. The main reason
however, why we
can't start up such a project is the very high price tag for the needed
photo material. In many parts of the world these pictures are available for
free or at least for a reasonable fee, which is a very envyable situation
for us that have to pay such high prices that we must restrict the VFR
sceneries to those small areas we have released around Stockholm and Arlanda.
Until this situation changes there will be no VFR scenery from us -
unfortunately.
