Preview from coming new version 2 of Scenery Pack #1

Version 2 of Pack 1 will feature a large area of fully photo real surroundings at ESSA-Arlanda - here a picture from the new scenery where the airport is seen from NE

Vastly renewed Scenery Pack #1 for ESSA Stockholm-Arlanda, ESGG Gothenburg-Landvetter and ESMS Malmoe-Sturup

Scenery Pack #1 is the first in the Swedflight PRO series and is now more than 5 years old, the first photos used for the textures were shot already at 1999. A lot of things has happened at those big dynamic airports - changes are made all the time, buildings are removed, new ones are raised, signs are modified - to name some of the more common differences. Also our own technique used in the construction of the scenerys is developed constantly and we have felt a big need to start all over again, renew the whole package and in the end release a totally new version.

ESSA/ESGG/ESMS
This large project has been running for more than a year parallel with the development of the other scenerys. One of the biggest parts of this renewal process has been to make a totally new runway and taxiway system at all three airports, done with utmost exactness. This is a precision job that takes months and has resulted in a more complete line system - built with our well known extremely smooth enhanced taxi lines. Even more signs have been added at the same time, giving more realism to the scenery and making it easier to find the way at these large airports.

All three airports have got the proper versions of approach lights plus new clearance hold lights and RGL lights. New APIS docking guidance systems with built in working digital clock are added where applicable.

The old textures on the buildings are changed to brand new crisp day and night photo textures almost everywhere.

Beside of the common changes listed above the following specific modifications at each airport are the most important ones:

ESSA
Buildings have been changed and removed during these 5 years. The largest new construction at the airport - Pier F - is now fully added. The gates 28-32 that were not in use when version 1 was released are now there, giving you the proper arrival and departure gates for the biggest aircraft used at ESSA. Some smaller buildings have been added to fill out a few empty spots here and there and some of the big existing terminals have been reconstructed from the ground - especially Terminal 2 and 3. Gates 43 and 44 at Terminal 4 are now rebuilt to reflect the changes made there. The gates where normally all large international aircraft are parking have been adjusted to their proper height.

The largest change at ESSA, beside of the runway and taxiway system, is the addition of a large area of fully photo real surroundings, resulting in a stunning view of the landscape and the airport. VTP terrain and LandClass that includes the whole Stockholm area are also included in the new package.

ESGG
New terminal added plus a complete rebuild of most of the existing larger buildings. New apron in the south end with a lot of new stands. You will also get a large area with LandClass and VTP terrain scenery. The city of Gothenburg plus the archipelago outside it as well as the whole inland to Landvetter airport will be included.

ESMS
The terminal rebuilt with the latest additions, the rest of the buildings modified to reflect the present situation. Apron West totally rebuilt. The area at Runway 11/29 totally changed and with new buildings.

The new package with version 2 is under finalization and we expect to release it hopefully in the beginning of May.

By kind permission from the PR dpt at the airport we have got the opportunity to show the airport sign with the new logotype - not mounted yet in reality.
The design may be changed slightly in the end.
